SD BB Sangou Zhang Fei

Started on this SD Gundam after I got it from Hanyang earlier yesterday afternoon. Kinda decided that the standard colour scheme was pretty **** so I went on to do another colour scheme for it.

The initial target was to finish the main body first complete with accompanying paint and finish the armour and weapon bits later in the week. Well, guess I kinda overshot the schedule by a lot...

For this scheme, I went with black as the primary colour with silver and gold detailings. Didn't use any of the stickers provided except 1 for the ring on the right ankle. For the eyepiece part, I wanted to recreate a sort of a GM look where the entire eyepiece was a whole visor instead of the usual 'eyes'.

For this, I painted the eyepiece silver first and then cut out the 'visor' from a sheet of clear plastic which is normally used for binding purposes. To get the template, I traced the outline of the eyepiece from the sticker sheet and cut to size. It was pretty difficult to get it as a whole piece as the middle part is pretty small so I cut it into half. Painted the rear end with a transparent green and then glued the plastic cutout onto the eyepiece.

However, the plastic cement I used kind of 'melted' the transparent green and silver paint when pressed together which gives a blob on each side which vaguely resembles an eye. Luckily it's only visible upon closer inspection.

Well, here's what I've done so far, gonna leave the touching up of paint for another day since I gonna go kun le... It's bl**dy 5.25 am in the morning...
