New stuff update
Just got this figure today, the Wal-Mart exclusive Blue CQB. Think I won't try to 'secure' the other 2 exclusives (Blue MK VI and Steel CQB). Going to wait till the 2nd series arrives, heard that it'll be released in mid June.

Spotlight: Visionaries
Guess the high costs for producing the holographic stickers was one of the factors that the line was discontinued although there was a second line of figures slated for production though I think none of them made it past the prototype phase...
Figures were made to go with a syndicated 13 episode TV series and a short running comic series.
So far, I have managed to procure all but 2 of the entire line, the 2 being the large vehicles for the good & bad guys, the Capture Chariot and the Dagger Assault respectively. Can't quite seem to find reasonably priced MISB versions around...
In case you're wondering, I've wrapped the cards and boxes with telp for some protection against the nasty paper eating bugs and to a certain extent, against moisture from the humid air in Singapore.
Some Shots...
McFarlane Halo 3 Series 1 Lineup
Campaign:
- Masterchief
- Cortana
- Brute Chieftain
- Jackal Sniper
- Grunt
Multiplayer:
- Red MK VI
- White MK VI
- Blue MK VI (exclusive)
- Red EVA
- Blue CQB (exclusive)
- Steel CQB (exclusive)
- Warthog
- Ghost
- Brute Chopper
Firstly we have the vehicles, they're very very very small, roughly about 2 inches in height or so.
Here we have the Masterchief in the MK VI configuration, there are also 3 other colour combinations, namely the Red, White and Blue.
Next, the Blue and Steel CQB configurations which are exclusives.
Finally is the EVA configuration which is only currently available in the Red combination.
Sadly, Masterchief only comes with the assault rifle while the others come packaged with a frag grenade and the assault rifle.
Cortana also makes an appearance in this series, featuring a light up base. I don't really see any points of articulation on this piece, so most probably the light up base is the main 'gimmick'. It looks pretty close to the game sculpt wise. Just also found out thanks to the bros at sgcollect.com that it takes 2 AAA batteries to power the gimmick and that it's not included. So no worries about battery leakage as I'm keeping it MISB.
What would Halo be without the Covenant?
Appearing in this series are 3 of the enemies found, the Brute Chieftain - Weapon variant, the Jackal Sniper and the Grunt. The Grunt is available in 2 colours, the orange and the green, other than the colour difference, the rest remains the same.
Seems that either colour is shortpacked depending on which part of the world you live in. Here, the orange armour is in abundance. Managed to snag one green armour off Ebay at a reasonable price though.
One thing I don't really like about the Jackal is its f**king reverse jointed knees, in case you don't know what that means, imagine your knees bending the other way and that's what the reverse jointed knees are. It's a major pain in the arse to obtain a stable pose...
I've had alot of trouble finding a nice looking stable pose without resorting to using blue tack on the feet. Luckily it ain't like the Berserker Garo S.I.C figure, humongous upper body with massive arms supported by measely toothpick legs with the stupid reverse jointed knees.
